Anyone price out European Delivery for M550 recently?
I'm at my 90 days on my M3 lease so time to get something different. I did ED with my last M3 and thought it could be fun again while saving some $$$.
So, What numbers are people getting for ED on M550? Last edited by spectrumphoto; 06-27-2018 at 01:39 AM.. |

I wanted to take ED on my incoming 530e.
Unfortunately, the numbers were against me. You get 5% discount off MSRP and that's it. The sale is handled by BMW NA, and the dealer is just acting as an agent. So, no dealership haggling. That alone puts ED behind a typical deal that you can work out with a dealership (where you typically get 6-8% off). But then the kicker was that NONE of the national incentives could be applied to ED: in my case that amounted to a loyalty credit and a financing credit. I absolutely love the ED experience (have done it once) and was really salivating to go again....but it would have made me leave 5k+ on the table....I just couldn't. I will be doing PCD at least, and that's half the fun. |

At least you guys get a discount, BMW Canada says "The MSRP of European Delivery is the same as if you took delivery in Canada so there is no additional cost." so we have to pay full MSRP.

Aarrggg....
Thats what I was afraid of. I ED'd my current M3 and wife/I LOVED the experience. But back in 2015 it made $$$ sense to do ED and to lease. Now, at least what I'm hearing of the M550's going for invoice or better and loyalty incentives it doesen't make $$$ sense. BUMMER!!!! |
