no ringtone heard in car
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 and cannot get my phone to ring in my 2019 520D Msport. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling; even calling BMW Genius. I cannot find a way to adjust ring volume in the car. The only way I know I'm getting a call is a pop-up in the instrument display. Adjusting the volume knob when a call is incoming only makes the radio louder.
Can anyone please help? |

I had this exact same problem. It wasn't just my Samsung phone, but not even an iphone would ring in the car. The only way I knew a call was coming in was it showed up on the head-up display. Neither the dealer nor BMW Genius could fix/solve this, What I did was delete my profile in the car and set up a totally new BMW Connect account (with a new email address) and then link to the newly created BMW Connect account. Somehow, that solved the problem for me.

It could be worth a try. I've had some really weird things happen with the car. I have never used the sat nav to get to my supermarket, but on the day I go it always gives me directions to get there. It never does that apart from shopping day

EDIT: On my 2018 with iDrive 6: On the Media page scroll down to Tone and select On tone page scroll down to Volume Settings and select Scroll down to phone volume and adjust the volume and mic from there while on a call. You should be able to initiate a call out from your phone and adjust it then.
