My car has almost every package available, is well appointed. After extensive experimentation, you can close my trunk lid with either of the two buttons on the lid itself. The driver's side switch opens, but does not close my trunk lid. You can also open and close the trunk lid with a foot kick under the rear bumper. But you cannot close the lid with the driver's side button or the key fob. (and, yes, I know you can physically push the trunk lid down) It does seem the factory coders may be, at best, inconsistent.

I called my Genius....
I can pull driver door switch. It initiates closure and will continue as long as the switch is pulled up. Let go... trunk stops mid closure. I literally open and closed trunk from pilot seat in parking lot while moving. Life makes sense now. |
