headlight washers
Hi! What could be the reason why the headlight washers do not work? I checked bimmertool and it doesn't show any errors. Is there a fuse responsible for their operation?

Any chance they have been coded off? Since I am not a fan of them, I code them off for every BMW I have ever purchased.

Interesting I don’t think I’ve seen a g30 with washers.

Under what conditions are you attempting to get them to work? Only asking because we have no details. The headlight washers don’t work if the headlights are NOT on…and they operate on a specific interval unless you’ve done some coding to change things.
There should be info in the owners manual (as well as the embedded owners manual in iDrive) on how to operate the headlight washer system. Again, only bringing it up because the forum has no clue as to what has been tried or if operator error has been ruled out as the cause.

I don’t think these are an option for US market cars. Too bad, I miss them.
But I do have them on my E39. Like Q said, it’s an internal interval. It’s in the owners manual on my E39 (like every 6th pull is the stock), but that’s when BMW put effort into the owners manuals.

This is from memory so take this with a pinch of salt, but I thought they only washed the headlights every third time or something like thawhat I’m trying to say is if you clean the windscreen with a squirt, it’s only every third time they clean the lights. And I also thought that the lights had to be on aswell , they didn’t clean if the lights were not on
As I say this is from memory and this may even be from the f10 I had, all a bit hazy The g30 pre LCI has headlight washers but the LCI doesn’t. |

You gave no model info...so I generically selected for the G31 530i Touring for info about the windscreen washer system:
