My 2019 530e shows that BMW Connected Services has expired now after 3+ years on the road.

I checked the website and I can re-activate for $120 per year.... Is that the number that you all have seen? I thought it was like $50 or so!... $120 is ridiculous for remote control via the app, etc...

it all in one package now: maps update, traffic, weather, connected services (app).
Last year it was separated in two, roughly 60$ each.

From memory I paid €90 in exactly similar situation 5 months ago. It's called "booster package" or something, gives you Connected Services excluding map updates and Concierge Service.

Please note that you can renew your expiring ConnectedDrive Services within 30 days prior to current expiration date however, when you renew your subscription(s), the original expiration date gets replaced with a new expiration date one year from the date you place the order.

I just made this mistake about five minutes ago and renewed mine about a month early assuming that one year would just get added to my original expiration date. WRONG. Now I am waiting for a refund and I will purchase again close to my original expiration date.

BMW should make this more clear.

I also noticed that the BMW concierge service option is no longer available for my vehicle. It disappeared the day it expired last year and no one can tell me why. I have a 2019 G30, so I have 4G LTE so there’s no reason I can think of as to why it is not renewable. I just had BMW upgrade EVO headunit to the latest iDrive 6 version hoping that would address it. WRONG AGAIN.

Hate it when providers do that. BMW shouldn't just make it clear, they should change it to automatically count forward from the current expiry date rather than the date of billing. It is poor design at best, and an underhanded sales tactic at worst.

Were you able do do it through the CD site or did you have to call? I was wrong earlier; I can see my car in the garage, but I can't access any information. Once I accept the terms, I get the error page.

You can renew your CD services when you’re within 30 days of expiration. The options won’t show up before that. My suggestion is waiting until the day it expires before you renew. Otherwise you’ll run into what I did. Then you will have to call and deal with Customer Service to get a refund unless you’re OK with keeping the new expiration date. Even the customer service rep said this happens a lot. They should definitely add some language about that.

I am a new BMW owner and new to this site. I have a 2019 540i and I see threads referring to it as a G30? With a B52 or B53 engine? I really don't understand. Can someone explain this to me and tell me what I have? Thank you so much.

Look at this screenshot from this forum when you type on five series. This shows the last four generations of the five series. The current generation is a G30 which is what yours is too. The next generation is supposed to come out next year. This is consistent across all of the BMW vehicles. It’s always a letter followed by a two digit number to identify the generation and body style. Each generation usually last five or six model years.

You’ll see the letters LCI mentioned a lot on this forum. Those are lifestyle updates during the middle of a generational cycle. They may upgrade the iDrive system to a new major version or make changes to the engine like the last one for a G30 which was in 2020.

I’ll let someone else elaborate on the different engine codes.

I just saw the same message that this was service was ending this month. The cost was $120.00. Not sure if I really need it. I can put an Apple air tag in my vehicle to know it's location.

The concierge service is no longer offered. The other stuff isn’t going anywhere.

You have a G30 (chassis code) B58 (engine code). Same as my screen name.

I'm within 13 days of expiration and still get the error message. I had to go through the My BMW app to renew. I don't get bundling RTTI & BMW Online. I liked it better when they were separate, AND $20 less!!!

Still available in uk. £89 pa. For what it's worth. Only ever tried the trial offered for 3 months. Nice having a chat with nice people but Google will give you many more options. Asked about technical issues. Couldn't help as expected. Save your dough.

One more tip. If you can wait until black Friday week you can get a discount (25 or 30%} .

They’re doing away with the concierge services; however, if you call BMW Assist, they will still send a location to your NAV system if you need help finding something. That’s basically the only feature that concierge service was useful for anyway.
