HELP!! M performance front splitters/lip fitment
Hi Fellow G30 owners
I need your help. I installed the M performance style front splitters and lip on M550 last week. Everything looks good from far away. But when I took a closer look, I noticed that the upper splitters, especially the left side, don't fit the bumper 100%. There is a little space/void between the front of the splitter and the front of the bumper.(as if the splitter wasn't pushed all the way in) In the attached picture, you can see the splitter doesn't sit flush against the bumper. So I am here asking for your help. G30 owners that have installed the M performance front splitters/lip. Would you please tell me if your fitment is similar? I will greatly appreciate it if you could show me pictures, too. Thank you in advance!! |

I opted out on that pieces.
I did test fit it before, and I don't like the way it sit. I believe the kit includes black vinyl to cover up the gap.

but, I am not talking about the "gap" or "area" that's not covered by the splitter. I am talking about a "space" or "void" between the splitter and the bumper. Imagine the splitter is not pushed all the way in, so now there is a void between the splitter and the bumper. Vinyl doesn't help with that.

I looked at a good quality replica, but the seller warned me it may need some sanding and modifications to fit, so i went for OEM. IT probably cost me the same as a good replica would have after paying for shipping and import tax to the UK.

The fit of mine (OEM) isn't perfect but fairly good. Cars a bit dirty and the reflection of the surround grass & twigs makes it look like it's all scratched up. Personally, yxc145 I understand that yours isn't perfect but it's fine. No one is going to notice...
