Its an M550i but look at how it kept the momentum ahead of the E63 Prototype.
The G30 was perfectly poised thanks to its intensively engineering benefits.

It did look quite good underway.

I'm hoping that the M550i engine is a little more trouble free than the N63. Is it to be a V8?

I agree. Which is why people should remember that Scott has great difficulty admitting when he doesn't know something. He just cannot bring himself to say "I'm not sure". He enjoys the adulation being an insider brings him. He has a long history of actions like this.

People should pay no attention to him. ynguldyn, however, is VERY reliable.

I was given the same time frame but in hindsight it's looking like a possible mis-communication. New high-volume production cars aren't launched on a Friday or over a weekend. Does no good for share prices. I'm starting to think it will be teasers starting tomorrow and reveal next Wed or Thurs.

To those who value Scott's input, on another forum he said specifically that the G30 would be revealed by 9th July. Obviously he was wrong, but if it is indeed unveiled at Detroit, then it shows him to be not just inaccurate, but absolutely clueless. There's no crime in not knowing the answer to something, but it should be a warning to people who place ANY significance in anything he says. I think a lot of people have been fooled.

I'm pissed off because I even asked him directly and he never responded.

He picks and chooses who he responds to, which is fair enough as it's his prerogative. I used to think it's because he's not allowed to reveal certain info, but I now think based on this G30 debacle that it's because he hasn't a clue!

Seriously, he's back on another forum name-dropping about a future BMW he's seen, like the G30 mess hasn't happened.

Why does he think anybody should believe a word he says now?
