I’m going to hold my comments on the G60 until I see it, but I’m starting to get discouraged overall with the newer designs of all the models. I watched the BMW Championship a few weeks ago. I usually love to see the cars behind the golfers. I don’t know what BMW is thinking.

I was told this week that there is no M560 plan. Only the i5 M60. Bummer. It’s hard for me to imagine that I’ll even own a G60. If you told me you’d been to the future and my next car was a BMW, I’d predict that it’s either an X model, an 850 GC, or I found another low mileage G30 M550. The wildcard will be if they reintroduce the 6 series and what they do with it, if they do.

It's such a mess. Brand and model confusion. They seem hell bent on becoming an electric car company like Tesla. They will lose some of the loyalists. I don't get it, they have plenty of time to phase out ICE powered cars. I'd rather see them be forced to than to be proactive about it.

They clearly are betting on something. They are way ahead of MB and Audi on 100% electric offerings.

So I saw something today I’m willing to bet that no one here has seen….. I was getting out of my car at the gas station and I see a car with wheels with BMW center caps. I looked closer at the profile of the car and color but did not recognize as either were from a BMW. I walk over to the back and I see it has the four rings and S4 on the trunk lid. I was so confused I forgot to take out my phone to take a pic before he took off.

They make a 330e in the US. Not sure when it debuted. I assume that’s what that actually is and maybe it’s an M Sport, judging by the wheels. Or they’re just very confused about what they’re posing as.

I've unfortunately seen some funny upbadges. Here's a X4 "M30i" that I see at the gym nearly daily. Every few days I see a "M330i" driving my same commute too. I was in Miami for a weekend and a F10 535i was valet parked with M5 badges on it. But here is the laziest upbadge I've ever seen. I mean it's different colors/fonts/not aligned...just why?!

Damn, I had a picture that I can't seem to find, where someone spotted a "Lexus M RX350 AMG". That was prob the most interesting one.

I like the proactive approach they're taking and have paid attention to their electrification strategy since 2018 when they initially surmised that electrifying the automobile industry wasn't the most effective. I don't think their goal is to become Tesla, but in order to compete and align with industry, government, and their visionary standards, this is inevitable. Now, they are leading the luxury EV segment after Tesla and 50% of their sales are projected to be from EV by EOY 2025.

Their greater focus on reducing CO2 footprints in their vehicles is an amped priority and, while the introduction of these new EVs are the talk of the town, the CEO made it clear that an electrified-only focus is NOT BMWs focus and a range of engines, including ICE, are still in production. We still have choices.

I do agree that some will no longer be loyal; however, these new vehicles will usher in a new generation of loyalists and may entice some who were once loyalists and jumped ship some time ago to return. I'm an early adopter, thus my Apline White M550i will not be retired but moved to the right side of the garage to make way for my Alpine White i5 M60.

Only time will tell if their strategy will prove successful. We share the same strategy in terms of moving the M550 over in the garage to freeze in time, but I’m more interested in PHEV, best of both worlds. Electric cars have no soul.
