Sirius lineup changes
anyone notice the Sirius changes today? I didnt even know it was coming
i figured the XM merger would call for some changes, but i was just expecting more channels. they consolidated duplicate programming which i understand, but they got rid of a few stations altogether http://www.sirius.com/newlineup

Sirius has made channel changes which are good, but I just spoke with Sirisu and it seems they have not moved over some premium items such as sports and Opra. Something about contract obligations.
Also, the current receiver in my 06 325i is not compatible with Sirius upgrade to select the best of XM. Sirius' solution was for me to buy a receiver from Best Buy. I politely explained that this is typical of business to tell the government one thing to get approval and then operate totally differently with the consumer. I have promptly filed a complaint with the FCC today. |

Yeah, the Best of Sirius programming "package" sucks. We'll see how this turns out, but not a good start for Sirius XM...

Monday morning for the commute the sirius went through the update and then poof - The Vault was replaced with Deep Tracks.
Never was a huge fan of Deep Tracks since I get it for free on my DirecTV receiver. That was one of the reasons I went with Sirius over XM. At least Pat St John was moved to Deep Tracks. Oh well, I can always switch to another satellite provider ... oh that's right there are no others. |
