Curious what tuning options will be like. The CTR Hondata tune is pretty good, but stock CTR cooling is so weak that it certainly can't hold those boost levels through multiple runs or track usage. Hopefully Toyota did a better job with cooling.

If they brought this car to North America I would buy this and you could hold me to it. Would be an awesome little year round city commuter. Much more of an interesting car than the Civic.

We picked ours up last week. Its an amazing car and lives up to the hype it is receiving. Will do a video review soon.

im very interested in one too. looking forward to getting a test drive in. i just hope they give it some longer legs in 5th and 6th than the FRS. That was extremely buzzy trying to commute at 80-85mph on the highway due to its short gearing.

So, Toyota developed this car from scratch by themselves. From everything I've seen and read, it's a homerun.

My question is: Why couldn't they do this with the Supra?

Yaris is too fugly. It’s unfortunate we cannot buy the Alpine A110 here in the States. Midengined 2450 lbs sports car with 288 hp. Must be an absolute blast to drive.

Went around Nurburgring darn fast but I still don't think I'd drive one.

Two comically dissimilar cars, but I'd buy either if available.

Another Carwow Yaris drag race, this time against the Mini GP. I was surprised how fast the Mini was over taking at end the of the race.

I want a Yaris GR (don't want to buy one right now though) I didn't know they weren't being released in the US.

Toyota said they are planning on GR'ing the corolla for the US, my bet is that they install a CAI and add some new wheels along with GR badging and sell it at a 10k premium.

It's not cheap to buy, but the GR Yaris offers decent economy for a performance model and holds onto its value well. It's probably fair to say that most buyers looking towards the GR Yaris are not going to be too concerned with fuel economy and overall efficiency. . .
