OEM Car parts from Lithuania

Hi, I bought a glass mirror from lithuanian seller on ebay. He confirmed that’s OEM. I noticed a difference between mine and the new one. The mirror with black lines is the new one, the other one with red lines is the original one from my car.
It’s my second time to buy from ebay lithuanian seller, in both times i have my concerns about authenticity.

What’s your opinion

I’ve had great luck sourcing parts from Lithuanian seller on eBay, mostly for my E39. Are they the same exact part number? Keep in mind, there are many variations of parts used for different markets and DOT requirements. I know mirrors have different features and specs depending on where you live. These sellers are getting parts off Euro cars.

I would tend to guess it’s OEM and maybe a different part number. There are also sometimes different manufacturers that make same parts for BMW. Since it’s used, I highly doubt it’s a fake. I can’t see the motivation in selling a used fake as OEM, new, definitely.

That’s not the BMW part number under the barcode. It should be etched in them somewhere, but it’s a good indicator that it’s OEM.

Yes, they have different part numbers, bucause mine is US specs (flat glass), the one that i’ve bought is wide angle European specs (convex glass). But other wise same features, blind spot warning, heated and auto dimming.
Both are manufactured by GENTEX as etched on them

I think that is your answer then. OEM, different parts. Again, the Lithuanian sellers aren't scammers from my experience. I actually got my climate control panel from them. The were very good about sending me a crap load of pictures for me to inspect the condition.

I landed here after searching for Lithuanian BMW parts seller, as the ebay username I purchased from several years ago seems to no longer exist.

Can anyone point me towards one or more well regarded Lithuanian BMW parts seller on ebay?

Got my light switch with rear fog button from this seller (Lithuania):

https://www.ebay.com/str/partsformore

Got my touchscreen climate control from this seller (Poland):

https://www.ebay.com/str/onlyorgbmw

Very happy with both the product and the communication to my inquiries prior to sale.

Have seen Eastern European auto parts sellers on ebay many times, but always wondered about their reliability. Glad folks on this forum shared their actual experiences. Still curious about delivery times when buying from some of these European sellers. Typically how long does it take?

I have bought a few computer-related items from Chinese sellers and shipment from some of them was a mixed bag. Some orders arrived within the estimated shipping times, while others were a no-show.

Shipping time is all over the place. I got my climate control panel from Poland quicker than I would if the seller was in Cali. In general, a week to ten days. It ain't 30 day customs held China garbage.

I bought a couple interior trim pieces from Lithuania for my car too. They are legit/OEM from what I can tell. Not sure where they source the products but have the part numbers or logo identifiers etched into them.

Look quality and feel great
