If you receive this kit, could you please measure the diameter of these studs?
I already have something that looks very much a-like (not bmw branded, https://amzn.eu/d/9245vTY), but would like to compare... |

The hole clearance for lug bolts is not a critical dimension, which requires a tight tolerance in manufacture, as the lug bolts clamp on the taper. Will hole size be reliable across rim production? Hub tolerance is the critical dimension for accurate mounting. More important to me, I'd like to know what the rim to hub spigot clearance is in production examples, confirming (or not), the nominal 0.1mm (0.004") figure we see in hub/rim data. |

Lug holes are ~16mm on my OE rims, so unless the shaft is precision matched to the hole diameter, the alignment tool will do nothing to help precision mounting. |

So, I may not have been clear...
I'm experiencing also these vibrations when i exchange my wheels. I already use those mounting studs. So while easier with mounting, it doesn't center them enough. I'm really keen to know what the diameters are, so I can increase the thickness of the studs with aluminum tape, and see whether that would work as well... (Without buying another BMW specific tool 😇 |

If I was trying that method, I'd be taping the studs to be a very close fit to the wheel lug holes. To be honest I wouldn't try to centre the rim that way, I'd be closing the clearance on the hub/spigots. I've not gone searching for machining dimensions and tolerances for BMW G30 rims. But have checked one of my winter wheels (OE for F10/11) and the holes are 16mm for M14 lug bolts. Not sure what manufacturing tolerance is allowed. Could be a very 'loose' tolerance as it is simply clearance. |

The hub spigot stop about the black line on the picture
the diameter on the enter zone is greater that 66.6, but on the narrowest zone its okay, just the end of the spigot is maintained, maybe it is not enough. |

Hello, today made test drive for 120km distance. I have discs only on rear, the rear vibrations are almost gone but still some at rear but higher at front. Is front vibrations also reflects on rear a little? Last edited by Haradrim; 06-29-2022 at 04:21 PM.. |

before installing the disk make some scratch with sand paper on the brake disk surface contact zone, to increase friction between brake disc and friction disc. good centering, and 140NM bolts tighten. And it will be ok |

You re welcome my friend, i think that the friction disc solution with perfect centering is a good compromise, these cars are, by design, very sensitives and i don't think we can do better without spend more money by doing big modifications (even if the car is under warranty)

So with this tool, you stack rim on hub perfectly and mount bolts one by one right?
