Hi all
I have had my 540i for about a month. I took it for a car wash today (by hand), exterior only. When I got into the car, all of a sudden, my Pixel phone was not connecting via bluetooth. It has been connecting since i got the car. I did not do any software updates.

I got home and tried a number of things. Powered phone on/off, forgot BMW bluetooth on phone (so I could add it again). On the BMW screen, I can't delete my phone. When I select delete on the screen, I get no response from the screen.

I tried to connect to the BMW via bluetooth from a different phone (an iPhone), but on that phone, it does not see the BMW as a bluetooth connection.

Is it possible that the bluetooth antenna was disturbed? where is the bluetooth antenna? Is the only fix a reset of the iDrive?

Not sure if you do have OTA update on yours. Might have done automatically and something screwed up.
Sometimes restarting iDrive helps. When you enter the car and iDrive screen turns on, hold the stereo power button for about 15 sec; it will turn off your iDrive. Then turn it on by pressing it again once. See if that helps.
Sometimes it's just BMW shenanigans. You might get into your car tomorrow and everything works just fine😬

Another option to try if it hasn't kicked back in yet, remove the negative lead from the main battery in the trunk for a minute and reattach. This will hard reboot all the systems and modules in the car.
