Funny cuz my exhaust shop talked me into the x pipe. My guess is it’s very similar and isn’t going to make a huge difference

To do the X-pipe or to not with a straight pipe resonator delete is really all about what you are looking for. The straight pipe will result in more sound where the X-Pipe is supposed to add a few more horsepower (5-10) that you probably won't feel. An X-pipe with the stock axle-back muffler will result in minimal sound increase, so little you won't even know it. An X-pipe with a Dinan/Remus etc. catback will definitely result in more sound. Some would say a tasteful and engineered sound. A Dinan/Remus etc. axle-back with a straight pipe resonator delete will be the loudest, save for a muffler delete.

So if you are not changing the stock muffler/axle-back and want more sound, delete the resonators and patch in straight pipes.

For me, my priority list was, in order of priority:

1
I wanted the look of double round 4" quad tips.

2
I wanted more sound but not the "look at me" backfire sound

3
I wanted a full Dinan cat-back, so I added in the X-pipe to complete the system. I did not want chops and welds under the car. I know no one sees it, but I would know it would be patch work.

I deleted my muffler but still have my valves so I can be quiet when I want to.

This is good info except for me at least the X pipe wirh stock muffler was noticeable on cold starts and sports mode. Interesting straight pipes would be even louder

Much louder, but different. Be careful what you ask for! I feel like cold starts were always loud, even with 100% stock.
