Following…I'm so close to pulling a trigger on a Remus system for my 18 M550.

Any thoughts on sound quality in a cat back vs axle back?!

Cat back will definitely sound better, raw and a deeper low end, result of it being straight piped to the rear box. With an axle back unless you remove the mid pipe resonators it will sound a bit dampened from my understanding. When I was doing research I didn't find many audio/video clips of a full cat back, when I get it installed I will try to post a video with sound clips.

I haven't found any clips of just the Remus axle back. It's only a few hundred difference to get the whole cat back - I know I'll regret not doing it.

Have thought about starting with a resonator delete. I just can't commit.

SctsOut06, I was struggling with the same issue before I ordered mine a few days ago. I couldn't find any good axle back clips on YouTube. I went ahead and ordered it though. I'm hoping that I can retro fit to a cat back by removing the resonator if the axle back doesn't quite deliver what I'm looking for.

Exhaust tips were delivered today. They look great. The rest of the exhaust arriving in a few weeks.

Also, one positive of getting the cat back, is not only it's straight piped to the box, but the tube diameter is increased as well, from 70mm stock to 76mm. I believe that also includes the mid pipe. But as jbhx5 stated, a mid pipe can be altered, or replaced later. at the end of the day its a $700 difference in going axle vs cat back.

Had my pops open up the packages I received yesterday... they sent me 7 exhaust tips total...? Wtf is going on here hmmm

Curious to hear yours - I just bought an axle back Remus as well. Hopefully getting here in a couple weeks.

Have the tips, still waiting for mid pipes and axle back, I was informed yesterday that It should ship by the 13th. Was hoping to get it sooner than that so I can install before heading out of the country the following week, might not pop off before then, we'll see.

What are the dimensions of the tips? Inlet and outlet - out of curiosity? I went with the chrome angled but I think I want something different but I can't find any specs on the tip inlets.

Interesting, when I messaged him Sunday he said everything was still on track and to give it 2-3 business days to ship lol

The rumors are true; the new ETA is now 10/12, with only 2 exhausts left on that shipment. Once these 2 are sold out, it will be an additional 4-6 weeks.

Note for current and future customers, when posting updates, make sure to specify which shipment your order is on so things don't get confusing.

Yea you might as well, what you'll gain from having a cat back is having it straight piped (unless you already are) and the bigger diameter pipes all the way through the back box.
