I’ve tried everything/ I’m too dumb to post a video it appears. Haha

Not sure I feel any difference. Didn’t expect to either. There is a dramatic difference in sound however. Ready for the DME unlocks- I wouldn’t doubt it will in fact make a difference once we start getting custom tunes. Regardless, I would have done it for the sound. 😁

Upload it to YouTube and just post the link here. Coding takes care of the rest.

Supposedly certain 2020 models are unlocked.
If I remember correctly cars built from July and earlier are unlocked, but cars built from August and up are locked.

I thought that too- I believe at some point there was an uodate that locked them. Could totally be wrong. Mine is a 7/19 build. Confirmed it is locked.

Not sure it would fit based specially on the braces that go across the corners. Just eyeballing it. The 2020 is a completely different bracket.

These look & sound GREAT. Nooby question here - but what should my expectations be as far as warranty goes?

Mike - I've bought a lot from XPH over the years and am happy you're always coming out with the best stuff .

Also, do you have the install instructions available online? I like to review this stuff before I purchase haha...

They can deny warranty on anything. 🤷*♂️. With that being said, an intake wouldnt concern me. Technically they would have to prove the part you’ve added is the specific cause of failure.

As far as install- there is literally nothing to it. It’s a 30 minute install. You remove four bolts holding the braces. The rest is simple hose clamps. The picture is enough to understand how it goes on.

And- XPH is awesome!

Thank you for the support

the dealership can decline a free warranty job if they blame you aftermarket part for the damages. No added stress from this part on any other component, no reason to worry about the warranty.

No install guide was provided by the manufacturer, unfortunately

Once we start testing this on tuned vehicles, I'd be interested to see if there is a difference between this design versus designs that draw cool air from in front of the radiator (e.g. N63intake, RKTunes). This one probably flows better due to the shorter pipe with no turns, but the other design probably draws in cooler air.

Yes sir- also, I think once we do Start tuning. I’m curious to see the HP difference. I’d assume it will make a difference.

I like this design better than the front mount for a few reasons. First, BMW engineers definitely channeled/directed air into the OEM intake area, but more importantly you dont have to take your front bumper off or mess with the active grill shutters.

IMO, the HP gains/difference will be very minimal between the two.
I bet they both sound bad ass though, with the BOV's open to squeal away.

AWESOME! If nothing else, you will enjoy the ability to let anyone who knows anything about cars that your V8 rumble is also equipped with at least one turbo. 🤣

Have fun!

Tip- Cut the enclosed “tape buffer” into 4 equal pieces. Then, apply those at about 1 and 6 ON BOTH BRACES. This will stop the brace from rubbing a hole into the intake tube.

Good to know! Thanks for the tip. I'll upload some pics / an update in a couple of weeks once everything is setup.
