That video is a great example of why open air filters inside the engine bay rob you of power. Colder/Denser air is always preferred. Which is why our intake systems are closed and funnel outside air into them. Even if it's 100 degrees outside, the temps under the hood are going to be much higher than that.

If you go to drag races, you will regularly see drivers putting ice on their manifolds and turbos. To make more power.

Reinstalled stock boxes with pre-filter delete and bmc filters. I honestly can’t tell if it’s any better. Maybe less delay, might feel smoother? I will say turbo sound pretty much is gone. I don’t hear any spooling or blow off.

I’m thinking I’ll just do the RK intakes soon.

Yeah. That’s where I’m at. Do I invest the time and modifications to grill just to get the sound back? I’m still on the fence because I need somewhat professional appearance for my clients and pulling up with front mounted intakes is a bit aggressive for most common people, lol.

Also one thing I wanted to point out was one of my filters looked pretty dirty for 600 miles.

Might need to monitor how quickly dirty these get.

Did you remove the foam pieces in the box as well? One corner piece was stuck to each filter for me, so I just threw that out…. But there were more foam bits inside.

Yes, I just left that part that was stock on the stock filter. Since we're using the BMC filters I didn't need to remove anything.

I'm sure you did this as well but I also had to click the air duct shut where the intake box connects. Sliding it through didn't completely close the gap. Just in case you didn't do that as well.
