I really recommend using ENET activation as you could restore it to OEM whenever you want just as easy as activate it

All depends on current software.
If it’s lower than NBTEVO_P(O,N,M and so on) that could be done through USB otherwise you need ENET cable.

Thanks

Looks like a slow weekend here, so I might as well jump on the bandwagon and try out CarPlay. PM on the way...

i mean can i use the fsc generated by the tool?

and to put them on the NBT i need FEMtoEVO and enet cable?

Cheers
Unless you don’t know what you’re doing I strongly recommend - don’t use it, you will do more harm to your headunit.

Thanks

Hello Guys!

I have an NBTevo O***. As far as I know, it should be possible, to activate Carplay via USB. Is there a manual how to do this?

I would recommend enet activation as then the dealer will have no issues if they need to flas/update your car. USB is an old activation method where the dealer might not be able to update/flash your car as online ISTA will tell them to replace Head unit. Level 18-11 and above is needed for fullscreen Carplay.

Hardware does not need to be replaced. However, FSC repair kits are needed to restore OEM functionality.

So enet activation with e-sys? Is this better? All the paid services are offering the activation via USB.

USB/ENET does not matter. Some software just need ENET cable and it is not using Esys

To be specific, Fullscreen is available from 18-03.

USB is not old activation, USB is possible on any ilevel below 18-11.
ENET is required to use on ilevel 18-11 and above.
