Hi,

My 2019 530e with 40000 kilometers gives a weird squeaking noise when steering at either stand still or when in motion (slow speed). It is someting like this:

but not nearly as loud. Also, there is a short, one-time clunk when I move the steering wheel when the car is off. I noticed this clunk can also be reproduced when I hold and move the steering axle (which comes from the steering wheel) from the engine bay. There is also a slight play in that axle. I also see there is/has been a leak of oil in the steering rack where the axle is attached to (image for reference) since the part of the rack has dust and dirt on it.

Does anyone recognize these symptoms? The car is under warranty. I am just curious.

I have the same noise at a standstill after parking or at slow movement but also not as loud. Did you figure it out?
