Is it worth it ?

Is it worth the money to do a secondary catless DP with a remus catback? Do not want to eliminate both DP because of smell. Plus I will not be doing a tune on this car.

If you won't be doing a Tune then Secondary DP + Catback will be fine.

Primary is the only one which triggers a CEL (primary cats) but it is removed with a Tune (for ex. BM3 if you ever intend to do so later)

Honestly I'm not trying to loose the warranty. They wont void my warranty for just the secondary cat delete. But if I touch the computer in anyway then could really screw myself haha. Thank you

Looking forward to hearing your exhaust + secondary dp video

Don't take a broken modded car to the dealer for sure won't void warranty.

Don't take a working modded car to the dealer may or may not prepare your VIN for warranty problems later when it breaks.

I mod and tune all of my cars and really would love to be able to pay less for the cars if they came with no powertrain warranties....

According to his posts, he heavily promotes bootmod3. So I guess he is going to tell you that they will be able to flash your car to stock and erase everything once you go to dealer with a blown motor, and they will never find anything.

If bmw will dig, they will find... so I call bs

Hahaha I'm new to the bmw world but not new to modding cars. As far as I know all the car manufacturers have their way of looking in the computer to see all flashs and to see how many clicks since the flash. The furthest I'm going is jb4 secondary DP and remus catback. I order the DP last night. I'm not touching the computer on this car.

My understanding is that they who shall not be named can still tell if the car has been running within the normal parameters if something goes bad...so piggyback may also not be safe from the warranty issues if there's a problem.

Honestly I have all the parts I want to put on the car. But do not have the jb4 yet. Still on the fence about it. I have H&R spring, 15mm 12mm spacers, mode trophy spoiler, remus catback, and secondary DP. I wasn't even considering doing the jb4 till after the 1000 mile service. But still up in the air. This is a lease and by far the most expensive car I've had. I dont want to ruin it. I'm use to heavily modding cars. My 2019 mustang I just sold was an 8 second street car with the best of everything needed to make it that way. But I'm done with that. For now on im gonna spend more on a car that has it all and little mods

Piggyback leaves trace and logs record everything and can see it same way they can see if the car was Flashed via OBD.

I know plenty of ppl who have gotten flagged for piggyback and downpipes because their new system automatically is taking care of this without dealership permission so when you decide to go in for a blown motor they will blame it on user right away.

Correct
Am I okay to go in for regular service? (oil change etc). Dealer said they'll be doing an inspection on next oil change. Only reason I consider going to dealer is because it's free however if I'm at risk of getting flagged then I'd rather just do myself. I have Stage 2 DME Tune with full exhaust and intakes, I reckon if they see DPs and no CEL they will know right away it's tuned no?

Here's a little squirt on the throttle in a tunnel.
