I am considering swapping out my stock M550 spoiler for the M5 Competition Series one. I have looked at a lot of online photo of the CS vs the Pro (AKA M Performance), and I think I like the CS better because it's a little more conservative (less wing-like) and installs with 3M tape vs. betalink for the Pro.

It does not appear you can buy an OEM CS spoiler unless I am looking in the wrong place? If it can be had and you know the part number, please pass it along. Assuming it is not available to purchase from BMW, it looks like I am looking at RW Carbon, AutoTechic and others to source it.

I'd love to hear from you guys who went with the CS spoiler on where you got it, were you happy with the quality and how was the install? Of course I would love some pictures.

I am usually not a Carbon Fiber guy, but I believe the OEM CS on the M5 is Carbon Fiber and not black, correct?

It's carbon fiber. I think you can buy it. I don't have it handy but thought I saw some on the F90 board order it. Here's a pic up close.

I too tend to think the OEM lip/spoiler on the M550i is too small but in the same boat as Joe as I think the M5 Comp one is too aggressive.

I used to eye it for my car from bmwpartspros. That's the only place I've seen it.
Here is M5 CS rear spoiler part number: 51-62-8-086-436
It actually used to be cheaper than the M Performance spoiler before since it's smaller, but it's not the case anymore. They both are CF.

Very pricey and as much as I try to stay OEM, I think I will wait for some input from the RW Carbon, etc. crowd.

I'm thinking the CS one might not be that bad. The M-Performance one is definitely not for me.

Got my from autotecknic, since I'm near by them, I went in person, really nice one, I was thinking about the same about cs or pro, after went in person, the pro is nicer since it's full carbon, not like this is abs base, but it need betalink and since my car is silver, it looks like some one glue a tail on my trunk
If you able to find OEM one, you will need betalink since OEM will be full carbon, and you don't want it to fly off

If you able to find OEM one, you will need betalink since OEM will be full carbon, and you don't want it to fly off

Thanks for the perspective. I think the Pro just might be too much of a pain in the ass in addition to being wing-like.

It's amazing how fast it went up. It used to be $690 when I was looking at it.

Yes, it's pretty easy to fit with the supplied 3m tape. The original spoiler came off fine with hot water and dental floss.

No, you remove the old one and put this one on. Pretty easy with fishing line, a heat gun, and goo gone.

I was always wondering whether you can remove their logo or not. I really like how they look and the have an store really close to me but I didn't get their lip because of the stupid logo.
Which color did you get? It'll be great if you can leave some photos.

I had their front lip and side skirts on my Audi SQ5. Honestly loved the products for the price point.
