Advice on tire size
I have ordered a set of 20x9 25offset 20x10.5 38 offset wheels
I would like to run a 285 in the rear or if possible a 295. what are the pros cons of running the wider 295 vs the 285 and what would be the recommended front tire size? Thank you in advance |

I run 20x9 ET25 and 20x10.5 ET35 with 245/35/20 and 265/30/20 because I am lowered. You could easily run 295 or maybe 305 on the rears if you are not lowered.

295's would look better than 275's the car comes with. I put 10mm in front and 12mm spacers on rear and I'm still looking for wheel well to be filled a little more in rear

No, stock 275's with 12mm spacers. I want to go to 295's since it's a minor increase in width but will still have a visual difference

Yes, it would be okay. Just make sure your overall tire diameter (height of the tire) is consistent in the front and rear.

I can't confirm but 295/30's is what I want in rear but I have spacers and not lowered.

Yes, those would be good choices. Just make sure your rear wheels will be at least 10" wide (so 20x10 in your case) for the 295 tire. Looks like you ordered 20x10.5 so that will be perfect.
You could technically run a narrower wheel like a 9.5" on that size of tire, but 10" is the minimum recommended wheel width for a 295 tire. Anything less than 10" on that tire will make the tires buldge which isn't ideal. Put up pictures when you get them mounted!

So, did you put 295/30/20 in the rear? Got any pics? My buddy selling a set of used 20x9 wheels and I'm thinking of buying them and fitting some continental tires in 295/30 also.

On my M550i I'm running 20×10.5 in the rear and 20×9 In the front with 275/35R20 and 305/30R20's. I had the 285's and 290's, but liked the look and ride with the these the best. No rubbing issues.

Hi all and merry Christmas
I would like to know if someone has tried to put 265 front and 295 on OEM 20 wheels. I am going to buy a G30 540i rear wheel drive and would like to improve traction since I am looking for a stage 3 and hopefully more than 500hp. Thank you
