Accent lighting supposed to stay on? Increased sound for 2020.

So I have a 2020 540, just delivered I have learned that you need to turn the car off before you open the door to get the car to turn off completely. However, the accent lighting seems to stay on until you lock the door. I like to keep the car unlocked in the garage. Is this intended?

For those who have a 2020 540, is it slightly louder than the 2019? Car stays in Comfort mode. When I test drove the 2019 I perceived it as slightly quieter than my 2016 535. My just delivered vehicle has a more prominent engine note (a very lovely one but louder) and it appears to have a bit of road hiss (could be my perceptions) from the right side of the vehicle. So overall, while still a quiet vehicle, it sounds a bit louder than the 535 and the test driven 2019 540 that I recall. I do not perceive it as wind noise. I have 18 inch go flat Continental tires. Test drive was on 18 inch runflats. But aren't runflats louder?

I will be dropping by the dealer to drive another 2020 540 to see if the noises are the same in the next week but I was curious if there were any changes to the engine or structure in the 2020 that may account for the slightly increased perception of noise.

Just thought I would ask and thanks.

Your car won't do a complete shutdown until about 10 minutes after you turn off the ignition; however, your radio will stay on until the shutdown occurs if you don't turn The ignition off before opening the door as you indicate.

There's an entire lengthy discussion on here about that, but I hope we don't have to relive it.

In my 2020 530e ambient lighting stays on until the car is locked and turns on immediately after unlocked.

Regarding loudness. If it you are talking about engine sound, then it might have something to do with ASD. When I first coded ASD, then default setting was lower than after full software upgrade.

Yep totally normal.

Question, what did you drive before?
