Although I am still very new to the car - and there may be a way around it - yes.

vtknight,

Thanks for sharing thoughts and pics. I was just reading a first drive
review:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...medium=twitter

Realize you are still learning the car, but it says in Sports+, there is an option to open the valves up. Is this simply by entering Sports+ or is there a way to do this manually?

Thanks!

No problem!

I have yet to get deep into the car - and it has been getting tint and PPF this week - so it's early for me lol. What I will say is comfrot to sport opens the baffle and increases the external and internal exhaust note. That happens the moment you activate S or S+. It is automatic. There may be a way to activate/open the exhaust baffle manually through the quote deep idrive - but I haven't gotten there yet. I can say comfort is eerily quiet and prefer Sport as the sound is mich better and I don't like the ignition start/stop of comfort or eco. I still believe that is hard on the car and hasnt been proven to have much benefit.

Congrats on the car and thanks for the writeup. Damn I want those wheels. I need to have these wheels. Still pissed BMWNA didn't offer this option.

Sorry -- I'm confused by your answer. Yes, it starts back up in the mode you left it (Sport or Sport+)? Or yes, it defaults back to Comfort every time?

Thanks! I think BMW USA will add this after July 2017...for now it does not.
The greater concern to me is the lack of fully digital dash on the US models - and even small things like no M badging - which isn't changing.

Both Car and Driver and now Road and Track have given the M550ix solid reviews. CD was particularly harsh on the G30 earlier - so that was a surprise for the latest review.

I will find the links...

"It's a lease - but I love cars..."

I hear you. I dropped about $6k on my F31 to have it prepped after delivery, even though it's a lease. Wouldn't do it any other way.

Car looks great! Congratulations!

Ok. Maybe it is old news. They prepared my f32 so bad, didn't even install the connected drive online service correctly back in 2015

Took it back , they spent 8 hr to re program...
