What might cause a “Drivetrain Malfunction” warning?

Came up after I started my car. Then after restarting, the warning went away. The check control says all is OK. Weird!
‘19 540iX MSport.

Possible coils could be the issue or software, etc. have your dealership check it out.

I had that on my 540ix m sport. Happened 2x. A shutdown. Lock doors and Unlock restart cleared it. Ultimately a software update was needed. You were having fun when it happened right ?
