....dude....I don't think my whip, 540i xDrive M Sport is a "piece of s***" at ANY circumstance. And so, this is how you describe the G30, perhaps this type of vehicle is not a right fit or suite your lifestyle. Make no mistake, almost all BMW owners/enthusiasts would never use that kind of wording to describe their prized possessions. Just sayin'.

If I had that opinion on the car I wouldn’t have purchased it in the first place. Life is too short to spend a lot of money on a car you don’t love driving.

Doing mods is one thing, but if you think the car is a total mess then buy something that’s not. You can’t polish a turd as they say.

At the 540 price range, I would like to know what offers a better mix of tech, comfort, performance, "reliability", style (M-Sport)

E class (yawn)
GS (old and gone after 2020)
A6 (closest and better in some aspects, but if you've driven one, it doesn't measure up in dynamics)
Ghibli (again, maybe does style and engine note better, but fails in other aspects)

Like others have said, if you want pure driving, get a porsche, but don't complain about price or not having space for things if you get a 911...

you may be right. I've seen skoda's in my rearview mirror and thought that must be a newish bmw based on the grille and headlights. Thats nothing compared to seeing a X5 X7 or 7 series grille in my rear view mirror wherein i just grimace and carry on with my journey

China is simply the biggest market, so the one to target and to be in, yep BMW is simply no longer a premium brand but volume one just like most makers anyway.

Large kidney grill for example, in China consumers looks for luxury and all and not for sporty looks & design .. hence BMW and others always added a stretched model to the fleet not to be seen in any other markets.

The lights and that uneventful, borderline flat sheet of aluminium hood are killing me. This car is getting more and more boring with every iteration.

F10 still turns heads. The G30 blends in nicely with previous gen Camrys of the road. Zero road presence.

...but cant beat the BMW leases LOL
