what is the latest iDrive version? [Canada, MY2021, iD7]

I have 11/2021.40 and that doesnt seem right but it says not update available so im super confused.

Should I ask the dealer to upgrade it? I try to search for updates and it says there are none.

I have an issue where its not switching the seats when a new driver walks up to the driver door of the car. I.e. wife got in the car first... With my X5 on the latest update it switches when it detects me.

Can someone let me know what the latest they have on their g30

The latest is always dealer installed. OTA updates that the LCI has access to are at least 1 version behind dealer updates.

Based on historical release cycles 03/2023 is likely the latest.

BMW is now focused on iDrive 8, 8.5, and 9 though so it is unclear how many more updates we’ll see for iDrive 7 cars.

Surely 11/2021.40 is old though right? Isnt it weird to have a car that has 3 years of warranty left yet worry the OS already going away.

Okay ill ask the dealer to update I have a weird feeling this is that TCB issue where it doesnt find updates

Could be a number of issues, but dealership will hopefully be able to provide some insight on expected behavior as well as manually update.
