Yes, the only thing that I am taking away is the G30 M5 with 626 hp and optional all wheel drive.
As for the styling, I have to agree that I see a lot of Honda/Hyundai, specially on the rear end.

Current 5-Series is a classic. This looks old already. And ugly. Not good even for LCI. Vision Luxury influences? I need a microscope to find them because I see none.
If it ends up looking anything like this it will be a huge disappointment imo. |

Wow this is terrible. The F10 looks way classier and bossier than this. This looks worse than the current F30 as well. It actually looks "cheap".
If this is the direction BMW is going, I'll go to Audi or Porsche next. dL |

Introducing the BMW Avalon. The Toyota/BMW merger is alive and well. (They just inverted the tail lights and called it a 5-series)

It won't look anything like these renders IMO.Look at all the renders of the 2 series, which also showed the headlights going to the grill. That turned out to be wrong and I am sure that most of this render will also turn out to be wrong.

The front does nothing for me and the rear is almost a clone of current gen civic.

I don't like this one single bit. The rear looks like a cross between typical Japanese design and an Audi A4. Terrible, not creative and unacceptable! The front is also unimaginative

For all those that are saying that it won't look like this you need to re-read the very first post by Scott 26......
And as usual, the M-sport will be far more attractive. Honestly, are there any non M-sport BMW's that are really that good looking anymore?....... -Bond |

Haha! They love to flip the headlights upside down for new gen! Look at E93 -> F32 and now this (F30 styling -> G30).

Wow. Very unattractive and just solidifies the waywardness of BMW design across the board. If I want a nice looking luxury car I'll be buying Audi for now. Wake me up after this design nightmare is over. This generation will go down as a dark time for BMW.
Fortunately they have lots of heritage to draw upon. I'm waiting for the return to handsome understated elegance with a sporty chassis. I'll pass on bloated, over designed cars that can go fast in a straight line. Sorry for the negativity. Just disappointed with BMW design. |

i remember a time when renders of a car made people droll over it and how everyone wished the factory would make them like the concepts, but here looks like people are already hoping to cover it up with M-Sport bumpers and such, shows how much the manufactures are investing into design,... i think it looks very cheap, especially the rear, first thing it reminded me is the back of a new civic and the sides look like that of a Honda accord, looks like I'm sticking to my 2010 e90 for a long time, although the new Mercedes C class looks very nice and actually like a real Mercedes and not a Jap tin can....

It doesn't look like a Japanese car to me, may be I'm not awake yet. The engine info is interesting, aside from the crazy M and M performance specs the presumably 40d and 40i models are listed as 342bhp and 349bhp perhaps signally what we can expect in the 3 LCI from the new B engines?
