For sure it feels much better in the Hands. The SE wheel felt cheap......too thin and hard. The smaller diameter of the M Sport is definitely noticeable on twisty roads. Just need more power now! |

Keep looking at Racechip as well, but worried about warranty etc... I see you are in South Wales....love driving down in the M5 to in-laws in Llandysul when I get chance. |

Ahh yeah, that's a pretty long drive cross country but some awesome roads around there. In fact the nant-ddu stretch round the reservoirs is where I really fell in love with my current car, long open stretches with fab visibility flanked by beautiful scenery, supported by some fun twisties.. I really must get out for a drive again!

Had mine replaced today which I'm really pleased about. I'm more pleased that BMW were also able to fix the problem of the passenger wing mirror that wouldn't dip when reverse is selected. A software fix sorted it out.

Hi Guys. Something is wrong with your site I can't post a new thread.
So here we go My G30 (530e 2017) started giving me an error. It displays an error on my instrument cluster "You can cont. driving. Driving stabilisation." & also the "Traction control" sign start displaying when this happens. On the main center display it says "Driver assistance restricted" & when I go in to see the "Affected systems" it displays the following are not working. 1. Pedestrian alert. 2. Front-end collision warning. Apart from this when this error comes up (every-time I drive it comes up within few mins) My steering doesn't work well, if the car is on full electric mode it starts not using the battery and start using petrol (battery doesn't discharge anymore), cruise control doesn't work (even though everything else like volume & call answering works on the multifunction steering), auto-hold doesn't work & when i race & take my foot off the acceleration the revolution on the engine doesn't come down like other times. I took this to my agents & after plugging the scanner they told me it's a steering rack issue. Does anyone know what could have gone wrong ? |

I also thought my nightvision camera & the other sensors were dirty but doesn't look like it. This has something to do with the steering, maybe a sensor of the steering rack |

Lots of cars out there with this issue it seems
Hello! Thread resurrection! Registered to ask people's opinion on this after finding thread on a google search.
I usually buy nearly new and I'm looking at a G31. Quite a few now coming onto the market with the spec I like (Msport, 520d - I do big motorway miles) but quite a few have the wrong steering wheel e.g. https://www.motorpoint.co.uk/vehicle...touring/847792 So, on the basis others have had this swapped out and these cars are still under warranty, what's the consensus on whether I'd be able to buy one and take it straight to my local stealer to get it made up as it should have been in the first place? |

I think you may struggle to get it changed, since I know the hassle of getting mine changed. Both the dealer and BMW UK were blaming each other. You would have to probably go back to the original dealer who ordered the car.
