I also have an M550 on order. It entered the production queue on 10/5. Today, 10/23, it is awaiting carrier assignment. Things move pretty quickly once production starts.

I got the Bon Voyage from the bmwusa website but I haven't called a Genius or the Perf Center to confirm we are actually on a ship. I may have the wife call both while we are traveling today.

K-line has a ship leaving Bremerhaven on the 10th and arriving in Baltimore on the 19th. (Hawaiian Highway) I hope my car is on that one. There are other ships leaving sooner but take longer to get to the East coast due to more stops.

What's the lag on mybmw? Broker said production started earlier this week. 4-5 days later mybmw still says scheduled for production.

Call BMW genius and ask them. They have all the information basically up until it's sitting at the port. Then they don't know anything until it gets on the boat.

Mine was in scheduled for production status for a little under two weeks.

Looks like my production week slipped from week 46-> Week 50 per BMW Genius.
So thats a month delay ontop of the month delay it took my dealer to get me a build slot.
Not happy.

Sorry to hear, I'm going on 3 months tomorrow and my car finally made it on a ship last week. Hopefully it sails into Baltimore on 11/26. Who knows how long it'll take after that.

I don't think you guys can complain. I ordered my M550i on 5th of July and I'm still waiting for it. In fact it's been stuck at 155/5500 since 10th of November.

That is crazy. What is the reason for that delay?

Don't know. I asked the salesman and the genius and they said don't know. I even emailed BMW Germany last week but no reply.

I've checked the VIN NO. with the recall tool and it says no issues.

After a few texts and calls yesterday. Broker dealer and plant had a 3 way phone call… this morning status changed to production begins and I have a VIN.
