BMW Feature Installer question
I installed Carplay via a code which I bought and installed using Feature Installer. Worked great, very happy. I was told that if I run the install sequence again the installation would be removed and revert back in the event that it had to into the dealers.
Anyway, car had to go into BMW for work and unbeknown to me included a reinstall of the software and it was flagged to me by the dealer that the car had some none BMW software installed and it would more than likely be overridden... If it is overridden will my original code work to reinstall it again or because I didn't uninstall it before the car went in is the code now no good and would I have to get a new one? |

No clue, depends on if the original hacked software was VIN specific and software specific. That said, I would personally just pony up and pay for it the right way. What is it, $300 USD?

I have never had a problem with reinstalling the CarPlay code.. You should be able to install/remove it as many times as you like...
I find the bigger problem is that all my BimmerCode settings gets reset as well, so I have to remember them all and recode those as well. |
