Is active grill shutters cover under warranty?

My M550i grill shutters got stuck and remains open all the time. Is that cover under warranty?

BMW has extended the warranty on the active grille for up to fifteen years or 150,000 miles.

Same thing happened to my 540 a couple of times and the dealer fixed it under warranty. When it happened a 3rd time, i used my finger to force close them and it never went bad again.

Newer models are covered by the original warranty. If the issues persist as the newer cars approach the end of their warranty periods, look for an update on the bulletin.

MY2019 cars were added before their base warranty period expired.

MY2020+ may get covered, but as of right now they aren’t covered.

They will only replace these if you have a check engine light and code. I had it happen but then the code magically disappeared. Dealer sent me packing and the issue hasn't come back up again.
