Icon Adaptive LED lights

Am I missing something? On my previous F10 with similar light spec there were small orange LEDs on each corner (within the light clusters) obviously to provide better side profile visual notification of the car..,this seems to be missing from my G30, seems cheap considering I paid a premium (significant) for the light package, beginning to wonder if I was had and should have just taken the standard lights with high beam assist...

I still have the amber leds on the corner with my iconic lights.

The regular LED headlights dont look that nice.

Everything is LED and no halogen-like orange LED unless when the eyebrow trafficator is in use when it blinks in orange colour. I prefer the current appearance.

I'm pretty sure that orange light is only for US.just how it was for the e92. F10 was an exception, since all markets with pre lci xenon and post lci LED got the orange light. I like the orange light on the side...distinctly BMW...atleast outside of the US

I don't think so...had a quick look at the light cluster just now don't see any standalone LED for this function...unless you mean you can code such that a small element within the larger turn signals is enabled???

I would say the bulb is there, it wouldn't make since for BMW to mass manufacture a headlight for the world and not include the bulb, at the cost consumers pay for the Full LEDs. I would think its just a matter of coding it on, as in the US you can code this feature off.

Without closer pics, Its hard to tell if there is a bulb present.

It is totally possible to produce different parts for different markets. In the US you also got that amber reflector on the sides, which means different front bumper compared to EUR. Also, there are actually 3 different model designation code used for US, EUR and right hand drive (UK).

I thought that reflector was a stick on. If it comes off you can always get another in your next pack of corn flakes.

What I am saying is if the headlight isn't on we wouldn't know, also the LED could be present just not coded to turn on.

Just as in the US the EURO LEDs/FOG front/tail light functions aren't coded on. The bulbs are present just not coded to work.

I'd suspect they'd not put the bulbs in. Leds aren't cheap and I reckon they wanna maximise the margins.

My current F15 and F32 LCI have full adaptive LED and don't have those yellow LED

My F10 has full adaptive xenons and did have them. The E9x LCI had them too

Why the backwards step by BMW baffles me

I have the European model M550i and I want to replace my European adaptive LEDs with the USA adaptive LED models. Is there anyone who can tell me if they will work on my European model? thank you

Ok. Originally my M550i model has the European adaptive led. The difference is that the American model has the side beacon.
for example left side:
Investigating I put references: left European headlight:
63117214963. Left US headlight: 63117214965.
European left flashing LED module: 63117214941. US left LED module: 63117214943. The following references for the other modules are the same for both the US and EUROPEAN models. I think that by removing my European headlight and mounting the US one, everything will work the same and I will have the US led WITHOUT PROBLEMS.
European Adaptive led and below the American Adaptive Led
