artem123 I've just noticed that my 2018 G30 does exactly the same. If I lock it from the app, dashboard and iDrive (and also all the button leds) do not shutdown.

I haven't left it like this for hours, I've locked from the key fob after 10 minutes because I didn't want to drain the battery overnight (as I wasn't sure it will shutdown after a while)

Did you find out any other info on this ?

Sounds like a bug with the app. Locking your car with the app is not the same as with the FOB. It should be but it isn't. When I lock my car with the app, the mirrors don't fold like they do with the FOB. There is clearly a disconnect of the cars command to shut down all systems that is not triggered with an app lock. It's clearly an independent command. You will also notice that an unlock from the app does not light up the car, ie welcome lights and interior lights and only the drivers door will unlock even if you have convenient access or a push of the FOB set to unlock all doors. I doubt the dealer is going to have any solution for this. That said, the app is so slow, I could not imagine why anyone would lock and unlock their car as a practice with the app.

Having the same issue 530e my2020 had not locked the car, used the app, came down to it later and the Idrive was on.

Actually the app turned on my car, at least i think so.
I do remember that idrive was off when I left it the first time without locking.
I do also remember that this was not the case with BWM connceted, maybe it is a bug with the command send from the new app.

Just tried the app with my 2019. Lock locks no problem, mirrors don't fold, iDrive off. Unlock only unlocks driver's door, iDrive off.

I usually only use the lock function if we're out and I have a Xiden moment and don't remember locking the car.

What if ?

- unlock car from the app
- push once the start engine button (so the displays power on)
- lock with the app
