Remote 3d View not working

I've got the Parking Assist package and its supposed to allow remote 3d view on the MyBMW app, but mine is not working.

I've updated the app, reinstalled the app. Nothing works.
In the Idrive 7, i've connected/disconnected my login. Still not working.

Car is going into the shop on Friday and I want them to fix it because I think I would use this feature a LOT. Any advice on how I can get this working ?

You have enabled the option in the car under data privacy?

If so, what software version are you on? It needs a software fix on early MY2020 cars.

I had this issue on my MY2020 and it was fixed with a software update. Before it was fixed I didn't even have the option to enable it under the Data Privacy menu.

Connected drive Services for remote 3d view maybe expired, that's why it's not working

I went into Data Privacy and I have "All Services" checked.
Running through Individual Selection, I did not see anything saying "remote 3d view" anywhere. Is that what it is called?

If so, I will show the SA Friday and get a fresh/new update.

Thanks! I just went through my Data Privacy and dont see 3D view anywhere at all. Looks like i'm getting a fresh update!

Let dealer fix it. You either need an istep upgrade or the dealer can get BMW IT to fix the backend issues.

Thanks Claykin. Is there supposed to be a module called "remote 3D View" under individual selection/data privacy ? I want to be specific with my SA so he cant try not to process the repair.

If your car doesn’t have the 11/19 update it will need that to get the feature. You can check by looking at the imprint in the car or the manual app.

For my car, it showed in data privacy but didn’t work. I was built in 09/2019 and took delivery on 10/2019.

Apex, I'm trying to figure out what "it" is in data privacy. Does it specifically say "Remote 3D View" inside Data Privacy ? If so, then it's easy for me to explain and show my SA........because i dont have that showing up anywhere.

No need to search too deeply. If you check your imprint and your version is less than that TSB it won’t work irrespective of settings set in the vehicle. As I mentioned earlier, check that to see if that is the case.

I went through all of that when it didn’t work after taking delivery in October 2019. So I know it will only exhaust you.

You had all settings on in your previous post. So you don’t need to check more than that.

I wouldn't overthink it. When you drop off your car show your SA the remote 3d view doesn't work. The shop is able to simulate it and will open a case with BMWNA if they need help from IT.

Thanks Claykin. Its not that its not working. I dont even see it anywhere on the MyBMW app for it to work or not. But that TSB pointing out theres supposed to be a Remote 3D View toggled on in data privacy should do it. Not even there.

In my case my car's I-Step was S15A-19-07-555 and updating to S15A-21-03-535 fixed the problem. Unfortunately neither my SA nor I were aware of the TSB and I had to escalate several times through BMW Corporate and send several increasingly nasty notes before they finally responded after about two months and told the dealer how to fix the problem. Icing on the cake, when I picked up the car the tech said, "Yeah I see this all the time, it's just a software update."

So definitely have that TSB in your hand when you go to visit your SA.

Thanks! I handed it to him yesterday and just dropped the car off. He said they may keep the car until monday since it requires several hours to program. Oh well, ill drive the loaner they gave me.
