Key fob and TPM malfunction

My key fob and comfort access doesn’t work anymore along with a TPM malfunction after a tech tucked away an exposed wire in the rear deck panel. I had my lowering springs installed last week when I noticed a wire pinched/exposed. I went in today to have him fix it, when I got the car back, my key fob didn’t work and was displayed with TPM malfunction. I’m no tech but I’m sure he might’ve moved something back there when tucking away the wire… any ideas ? Please and thanks

The remote receiver receives not only the RF (radio frequency) signal for the remote fob...it also receives the data being sent from each TPM sensor in each wheel. And it is located on the rear parcel shelf on the G30. (see A203 pics below)

The signals from the TPM sensors used to go to a separate RDC module...but the function of that model was incorporated into the DSC module...along with the reception of the wheel sensors being pickup up by the remote control receiver and then sent to the DSC module.

So yes, If the exposed/pinched wire was related to the remote control receiver module...this could disrupt both of the systems you mentioned.

Appreciate it! Update, my unit was disconnected when the tech was installing the panel. I had to remove it to double check the wiring and it was indeed yanked out of the unit! A simple re-insertion into the unit and my car is back to normal

Great news…appears it was relatively something easy to fix the issue. Thanks for the update.
