I can check and see if I can find any bosch part numbers. Will let you know tomorrow. They suggest when running over stock power to decrease the spark plug tip gap to 0.022". Dome say and run the stock gap but this is what was recommended and went with it. No issues so far.

Rear Arch Guards

Finally got round to making the rear arch guards. The front ones have been working well at minimising the dirt and grime that gets thrown at the sides of the car.

I was able to secure these in the 2 arch liner mounting points each side, with longer screws and some screw spacers.

Few tweaks to the current look.

Decided to remove the roof spoiler and the M style mirror caps. Looking at the car now, I prefer it more without these. Bit more of a cleaner look and less 'M car' in my opinion.

haha are you the same one that was on that british youtube video? i think i just commented on there that the pops and bangs tune was terrible...sorry lol

but damn your car looks better now! i withheld saying to remove that rear window spoiler! glad you agreed with me in my brain, car looks so clean.

now remove the pops and bangs tune

I've not really looked at the comments recently on the video. Because they wrote 'M5 Killer' in the title, there was a few 'funny' replies... clearly they did it for click bait but people have hung onto that. No where did I say it was an M5 Killer lol

oh yea i wouldnt pay attention to that m5 killer stuff, no one goes into a 540 build to beat M5's....but you get like 80% of M5 performance for 50% the cost/ownership cost of an M5...especially since yours is Xdrive

Fuel Tank Breather Valve - Replaced

Recently I was sent a post on Instagram by a fellow G30 owner who saw someone else with a G30 had a clicking sound soming from the engine bay (starts a min or 2 after the cold start). Mine wasn't as bad as the others but it was making the clicking sound (not to be confused by the B58 injector tap sounds - that's different!

Turns out its the breather valve ontop of the engine bay. This valve sends fumes from the fuel tank to the throttle body to be burned.

Replacement wasn't too difficult, some of the clips were a little hard to press but you just need to apply a little force and they'll come off.

On the first start up after replacement and waiting a few mins, the clicking sound was gone. I've tested it a few times and that sound is no longer there. Thanks to the guys who brought this to my attention!

BimmerLink App can open the flap for you, then remove fuse 203 (I think, from memory) to keep it open all the time.

Ah yeah the cabin is much more insulated on the 5. You have the OPF on your exhaust too which doesn't help with loudness. Saying that mine was pre-opf and still sounded quiet. Opening the flap is a good starting point though.

Many plans for the car? Any pics?
