Clean dirt around clear PPF?

Does anyone have any good techniques for cleaning around the clear PPF? Drives me nuts on a white car - seeing the black grime along the borders.

What do you mean by borders? I assume you only have a partial hood PPF and have the line?

My PPF is a full front wrap of nose, hood, fenders and mirrors. The PPF wrap the parts completely and the material stops on the underside

I have the film on the edges of the doors and bumper, and behind the door handles

There is a Facebook group called Obsessed Garage. A lot of professional detailers and experienced weekend warriors. I've learned a ton there and have also spent a lot of money on outstanding products. Check it out and ask the question with some pics. You will get an answer.

Have you tried a soft bristle toothbrush? Be careful using chemicals on the edge as over time PPF edges are prone to lifting due to dirt and chemicals breaking down the adhesives. Never use amonia based glass cleaners on PPF or glass tint.

I tried a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip but it didn't quite get it. I'll have to try with a better soap and a toothbrush. Thanks!

I suggest using a quick detailer or spray wax. Or simply use car wash soap and water. Don't use alcohol.
