M550i and DHP
There are no settings specific to DHP on these vehicles, correct? It's an always-on system that includes ARS, active M suspension pro, and IAS. Many other forums relate this package to having the different drive modes to pick from, but from what I can put together, these are independent of one another. You can have the eco pro/comfort/sport/sport+ modes without having the DHP. Aree there any iDrive settings that are specific to a vehicle having DHP versus one without? Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the only visual or selectable thing is a button mine has with the DHP is the adaptive button that sits next to the eco/comfort/sport buttons.

I was curious about that... do others have the adaptive setting without DHP? Seems like a lot of people talk about the adaptive button/setting, but DHP doesn't seem to be a common package option, so I assumed they weren't tied together.

That's what I thought... still trying to figure out if there are any menu settings or indicators solely indicating the presence of features such as MSSP, IAS, and ARS.

To visually check for IAS You can dip your side mirror to see IAS work low speeds or parking (vehicle has to be moving) - the rears will turn up to 2.5 deg left/right - it is super slight and not optically apparent. Also if you're in a region that allows use of snow chains, there's an iDrive setting that allows you to switch off rear axle steering - this option isn't on any vehicle without IAS. Also added more info on IAS tuning in different drive modes - note the manual is for G05 and IAS functions exactly the same for both vehicles. To visually check for ARS Would be on a lift and confirm your M550i has ARS hardware - see schematic comparison between a M550i with standard anti-roll bars versus one with ARS. Here's what the rear ARS hardware looks like from under your vehicle.

Entirely different cars, but having had 2 F3xs with DHP, and test driven an M550 with it optioned (buddy's car), I've never seen anything in idrive in terms of changing settings. It's just a passive setup that, in my experience, makes comfort softer, and Sport+ stiffer. No specific settings for changing damping, height, etc. though, and no separate button. The only way to tell it was on the F3x cars was to look under it and find the cable running to the shocks. Non-DHP cars didn't have it.
If you aren't planning to mod the suspension, imho, it's actually a very good option. Back when I ordered my F31, it was very confusing to nail down what it did to the car from reading the forums, and many folks were confused about it, but after driving two sedans, one with and one without, I decided it was worth it fwiw
