You can change the colors directly in iDrive.

The names don't change or the actual colors in the I drive you have to remember what colors you changed what too. But it also creates s backup every tine to go into an ecu. So you can always just load the back up of the stock colors

I have like 8 color choices to choose from on my M550i. This was the same on my X6. I also own BimmerCode and the options presented are exactly what I have in iDrive.

Are you saying there is something different in expert mode that I am missing?

If you have the unicarscan obd2 adapter you can get into the bdc and change all the ambient light colors.

Stay away from expert mode unless you really know what you're doing.

I also have the same adapter. This can be done on easy mode but only to replace "Bronze" lighting option.

Please tell us how to change other ambient lighting modes except bronze in expert mode. Thanks.

On my dash ambient lighting, 2018 G30 with 5400 miles, the ends of the lighting strip that runs along the passenger side dash seem to be much dimmer than towards the middle of the strip. Can these be replaced - will have dealer do under warranty?

That looks cool- I did mine with contrasting top and bottom colors using BimmerCode and OBDlink Mx+.

There are a bunch of other colors available and top and bottom can be done independently without using expert mode. Pretty simple way to dial in something unique.
