I don't suppose you could find the G30 M performance exhaust installation?

I have looked and not found it.

I'm trying to work out if there are two different bumper trims depending upon which exhaust to have standard or M performance.

I don't want to have one fitted now for the standard and then find out I have to fit a different one for the m performance exhaust in a few weeks.

This picture from the other instructions you posted seems to indicate a 6 cylinder look and 8 cylinder look???

M performance exhaust fits with the stock M Sport diffuser. I just picked up my car with the M performance exhaust. Tips are nice but the exhaust is pretty loud and drones quite a bit under light throttle.

Hmm, odd I wonder what those two part numbers are.

The problem is the the parts/dealerships don't know these cars or parts that well yet.

The exhaust is not available here for a few weeks.

Sorry, that one was not out yet last I had access.
Will look next time again

The kit ending "409" in your last post is for all except M550 while the "410" one is for the M550

I went and triple checked the parts system.
If one looks at the M Performance exhaust tips on the parts system it says you need the 8 Cylinder cover from the M550

So looks like you need the "410" kit if you will be fitting the M Performance exhaust and its tips

Diffuser or cover (silver part on M Sport bumper with holes for exhaust)?

The tips say they need the M550 cover, but the 2 diffusers are common between all the models

Thanks for that.

So to sum things up.

Any model without M performance Exhaust = 409.

Any model WITH M Performance Exhaust & 550i = 410.

But you definitely need one wither 409/410 to fit the carbon diffuser. Talk about making things complicated by having a two piece diffuser with 3 different parts....

Yes, the diffuser is the same (as per the linked thread), but the cover is different for the M Performance Exhaust

Interestingly the parts system doesnt yet have a warning on the page where you see the cover.. You only find it when looking at the exhaust tips.
They will probably update it at some stage

Not quite, since only the 540i Performance exhaust is currently out on the system

So its

Yep that is the thread that started me looking at it in more detail.

The problem is I have ordered carbon spoiler, carbon mirror caps, black grilles, sills and carbon diffuser.

But this bumper part has never been mentioned, does it come with the diffuser and you have to specify which one you need?

Or does the carbon diffuser fit onto the standard m sport as well??

What I don't want to happen is they fit the carbon diffuser with the standard exhaust bumper part l, then the exhaust turns up in a couple of weeks and they find they need the other bumper part. But that seems the case, I'm not going to pay for two though.

Oh and the other thing is the marketing info mentions carbon tips but these don't seem to be an option at the moment, looking at the diagrams they could be switched at a later date though at they just bolt on?

Again, are you talking about the diffuser (No10) or the cover (No8) ?

No, it sure doesn't look like that. You'll need the matt black bumper cover to fit one of the two different diffusers, in your case the CF.

Looking at your pic, it looks like you changed to the M550i diffuser.

Yup, thats what the parts system says
If you look at the parts system picture you can see the matt cover has the cutout and mounting points for the diffusers

Yeah I don't have the lower part, just the primary diffuser. It does look different when you want to go with the lower carbon part. Which looks really nice in the picture.
