Nice!
Was just reading a comparo between the '23 Honda Civic Type R and the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla (Circuit) in the March 2023 MotorTrend magazine. The Type R won. PS - I’m a little behind in my reading material. lol

I've had a deposit down for a GRC for over a year now. I ended up turning down 4 or 5 total because they were either the wrong color or weren't CE's. Over time the CTR slowly won me over instead. I started getting really serious about securing one on 7/14 and exactly 2 weeks later it was in my garage. I'm very happy with the outcome and the decision to wait and not just settle for whatever was offered to me.

The last paragraph of the article: "But the riotous Toyota doesn't lose the comparison test so much as the Honda Civic Type R wins it. With its end-to-end excellence, not a single major asterisk attaches itself to the CTR. It delivers racy performance, refinement, spaciousness and quality, plus a special sizzle that will indulge owners every day, just as a leading hot hatch should."

Got a set of headers for the mustang this weekend at Summit. Probably wouldn't have been my first choice but they were in the demo area and listed at $140 when they're $285 new.

All metal hose reel. Got sick of the plastic ones breaking all the time.

I've been going through an inner battle on whether to look for an enticing lease for a new x3m40i to replace my f36. Figuring the only way to make it financially make sense is if there is a nice lease option that gets me chipping away so I can buy it after lol.

I managed to get this one mounted without destroying the house or winding up in the ER. Miracles do happen.

I caved in and started playing about a month ago. I've been borrowing a pretty nice paddle that was around $225. I borrowed this cheaper HEAD paddle one day and I found out I'm not good enough to take advantage of the expensive one, so I got this to learn on.

Aqau Joe hose stand. The spigot on the side of our garage is way down along the side of the house behind some bushes. This gives me a spigot right next to the garage side door. I mounted mine without the hose hanger since I already have a reel mounted out there.

So in April i went over to the dark side. At the time i didn't need a diesel and after having a 440i previously wanted to try something different. Spent ages trying to find the best example and found this about 30 miles from home.
Mercedes C43 Premium Plus. Love the engine note (v6 bi-turbo) but the interior build quality is lacking. Seriously it creaks more than i do the morning after playing rugby! After only four months, it's up for sale as annoyingly i need to go back to a diesel |

Used to do a lot of riding with my wife and want to get both of us back into it, but the hilliness here along the coast is just too much for her. So, been looking at e-bikes for a while, but price for a fitness/road type has been high, like $2500+. And, obviously, need two so....
Discovered Velotric. It's one of a myriad of these "urban chic" bike companies that's popped up in the last few years and frankly I was skeptical, especially in the wake of the VanMoof bankruptcy. Turns out that the main H/W guy was also the main H/W guy for Lime scooters and they've borrowed very little money while still delivering product, so maybe they've got the cost/supply chain problems worked out, can make money at their price points, and not be a memory in five years when I need a new battery or motor. Reviews were strong and we test drove a T1ST at a local dealer. Very impressive build, decent components (proprietary rear hub motor), super smooth and balanced ride. Looks good, too; almost like an acoustic bike. Really, I'm not making that up, they call them acoustic. Still, a little concerned about longevity of the company, so we were leaning toward the simpler T1ST that didn't have all of the App-driven tech. Came back from the test ride and fired up my browser take a look and see if I could find any red flags. Go to their site and holy-moly, they're having a flash sale on them. $999, from $1499 "list" price. Could not resist and bought two of these - Velotric T1ST. One in this color (Lava!) and one in sand for my wife. Purchased Sunday, mine arrived Wed, hers Thu. Fed Ex from SoCal. I was shocked and pleased they came that quckly. (Velotric does seem to have their sh*t together, at the moment, anyway.) One big bike box. Just had to put on the front wheel, seat, pedals, headlight, kickstand, adjust the brakes/shifter (8-speed) and pump up the tires. Battery was already charged. Can't wait for her to assemble hers and get out there. |

New Bedroom decor. Specifically, Duvet cover, pillows, shams, etc.
I've also finally taken the many suggestions from friends and family to at least try Interior Design consulting on a very small scale. Thus far, I've Assisted about 6 Families or homes with everything from bedroom, family room, and kitchen design. I've made nearly $2,000 as a side hustle doing something I enjoy. |
