Front black trim

Does anyone know of a source for the gloss black front black trim for a 2019 M550i? Everywhere I look the left site shows up as discontinued.

51712431045 and 51712431044 are the BMW part numbers.

I came across the same issue. I ended up having them wrapped gloss black along with the chrome strip on the door handles. It came out great. Makes my azurite black m550i look “sinister”. Lol.

Curious, did they wrap them on the car or remove to wrap?

They wrapped the chrome strips and mirror caps while on the car. They took off the lower front brows and side vents to wrap those. Your new exhaust sounds awesome.

Thanks for this and the kind words on the exhaust. Appreciate the feedback. I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of the cerium gray bits, but it seems like a pain in the ass and also those front bumper trim parts are hard to find. I think if I could have someone wrap everything while on the car it may be appealing. From what I understand the bumper trim is a pain in the ass to remove without breaking clips.

Joe I wrapped the lower bumper trims without removing. My first time attempt at wrapping. Maybe 45mins - 1hr to do. Quick weekend project. If you don't like the outcome you can always remove it. The 3M vinyl wrap cost me $30 on Amazon.

That looks good. I'm definitely up for a project like that. What kind of knife did you use to trim it? If you could post a link to the wrap and knife that would be great. Thinking an exacto?

What did you do about your mirrors?

What did you do about your mirrors?
I used a small box cutter knife. I was very careful when cutting. But worse case if I did scratch, it was inside the edges which wouldn't be seen anyway. But you can buy a cheap blade-less tool to cut vinyl wrap.

For the mirror, I bought a black gloss mirror cap from Amazon and I installed myself. Not that difficult to install.

Only reason I wrapped the bumper trim is because the left side is unavailable everywhere for the last 6mths and I didn't feel like waiting any longer lol.

Here's the link to wrap

I changed the OEM Cerium grill to gloss black. After going through a few Amazon and eBay knock offs, I bit the bullet and sprung for the OEM M Performance Grill.

Did you keep your cerium grills? I think they would look good on my bluestone.

Yep, but I’d rather hang onto them than sell them for $100 or bucks, assuming that’s what they are worth.

Honestly, they would not bug most people. It's the clips at the top. The knock-offs leave a little play. I am just over the top, but, I do always try to stick with OEM if the price is reasonable. I think I paid $150 for the //MPerformance Gloss Black Grills. Short money over the knock-offs.

It's amazing how much better the front end looks with black grills and bumper trim. Great job!
