2010 Lincoln MKS with EcoBoost

3.7L Twin Turbo running 355 HP on 87 Octane.

I wish we could run on 87 Octane...

No 0-60 times yet though.

Hmm... can you find the article discussing this engine?

Maybe when they rated teh 355 hp it was actually on 93 but the car can run on 87 which technically our cars can do too if necessary.

I'm sure 0-60 will be quite sloppy on a FWD platform, they'll likely need an AWD version.

Sounds promising though, although not quite a threat to the x35 powered cars yet.

It will be AWD.

BTW, Lincoln is an outstanding car company. While cars they make aren't my taste right now, I could see myself in one older in life. I hope they survive the downturn.

So you're saying that an additional 80 or so hp is going to shave almost 3 seconds off the 0-60 time of a 4400lb+ car? Sorry, but I seriously doubt it.

I don't believe that. The ford SHO will be 365 HP.

Jalopnik says the MKS's isn't great.

Sounds like a luxury version of the Ford Fusion SHO... although I think the SHO has 365hp vs. the Lincoln's 355. And the SHO's got a 3.5 V6 vs. the Lincoln's 3.7l. If I remember correctly the SHO's 0-60 time was somewhere in the low 5's. I'd guess with the Lincoln's larger weight and slightly less power, it might be in the mid to high 6's.

Unless of course, they put the Lincoln on a diet.

The MKT at 4700lbs does it in the 7s. There's no way the MKS shaves 3sec off that.

I would almost bet that the Lincoln will be in the mid 5's. That would keep it competitive with GM and Ford's performance sedans.

Yeah they look to be quite heavy. I've seen a few on the road and they are big cars (comparable to a Chrysler 300C in size).
