Mobile Hotspot

Is there any cool reason to pay the $10 a month for AT&T WiFi service your car? I was just curios and wanted to justify it. My kids iPads all have AT&T service already and really don't do many road trips. I know the newer escort radar detectors can use the in car WiFi for escort live, but other than that I don't see a use for it.

Never saw the point of it myself as my own phone has data.
Sure I've read that it's not good value for money anyway. Think there are better things to spend money on personally, just my take.

I was hoping the hotspot would be Verizon, or selectable.

I have at&t, do not need service for at&t in my car but there are areas we travel to where Verizons service is better. That would be worth $10 per month for me.

I run my BlackVue dashcam cloud services through BMW hotspot in my F90. Auto uploads recorded events this way, and allows me to live-view the camera feeds from my smartphone while the car is in motion.
