Wheel upgrade question.
Mawnin all,
I want to swap out my factory wheel on my 2018 530i (G30). Right now I have the factory 19's on it and was going to stick with that size, but If I decide to go bigger, what should I be looking for as far a specs? How much bigger can I go without causing ride issues? I was thinking about these. https://autocustomz.com/products/cop...caApJqEALw_wcB |

As wheels increase in size, the lower the tire's aspect ratio. This makes the ride harsher and the wheels/tires more prone to damage by potholes and such. Also the weight of larger wheels affect a car's un-sprung weight and can affect handling. Lastly, tires to fit these wheels are more expensive.
In short, going to larger wheels, offers no real advantages other than appearance. On the other hand, if one must customize his/her BMW, the wheels in the link certainly look great. |
