540i with MPPSK - Short Video ...
Evening all,
I started to give the car a deep clean tonight and got as far as the engine bay, interior and alloys before I ran out of time. I took a short video of the exhaust start up with a couple of low rev blips and thought I'd share it here if anyone was interested. I've got a 540ix with MPPSK and a BMS intake. Aside from that, mechanically it is stock. I have been considering a res delete, but having heard this video I'm not sure it needs it. The only down side is the sound proofing is so good in the car, that it can't be heard well by the driver. I know, talk about first world problems! Anyway, here's the video: Cheers! J |

I’ve noticed that Peterborough BMW and a few others are doing it for that price
Which one did you go too and do you recommend it? My 540i is being delivered on Friday. Loved it but my only complaint was that it was too quiet. |

I used Milton Keynes. Dealt with a guy called James who was great.
I keep going back and forth on the sound. If you've got neighbours, the cold start is plenty loud enough with MPPSK! You do get the odd pop and bang, but not often. Personally I think it would annoy me popping all the time once the initial honeymoon period wore off. The sound proofing in the cabin is great. I think if you have something that's loud enough to hear a massive difference inside, you run the risk of it sounding like a cherry bomb on a Saxo VTS on the outside. Just my (perhaps) unpopular opinion. |

Yeah, that's pretty crazy.
I was comparing the cost to the ACS exhaust at the time, and didn't really want to go above £2K. But that didn't have any tune, and the diffuser was extra again, and needed painting. I also read a couple of stories about poor fitment of the diffuser. The sound, and black tips look great tho. |

From what I've heard the dealers doing it at £2300 have bought the full kits.
Got my car coming from Halliwell Jones BMW and they didn't have the kits in, but priced it up individually and even with a discount, the best price was £2598... Think I might live with the car and see if I stil want the kit after several months... |

The guys in MK definitely had to order it in, but I think they under-costed the labour as they didn't realise the torque converter needed changing. The job took a good 5 or 6 hours longer than they expected.
