If you find a way to add vertical sensors let me know I assume it would take a lot of extra coding also this is why I shred away from that option. Physically installing them is easy enough from the manuals I have read.

I note the system we have can be not as good at speed over small bumps but once at speed on motorway it’s much better.

Think the run flats and 20” alloys also don’t help at slow speed.

Physically installing and wired them should works,if not, just code the 2va program into it.
I will do this job after several months.

Its nothing to do with 18" or 20" wheels, the vdp will record the piston speed from the height sensor , after miles finally it will got the actual damp map whatever inch of wheels or tyres you use.

0110update:
I saw the lateral acceleration speed in the DSC was -0.3m when I parked at my garage, thats wrong,so I reset the sensor, the value become 0m.
Then I test drive my car,thank god,it drives like a Rolls-Royce,it's awesome!!
No need for the vertical sensor.

Excellent seems a lot off issues are caused by the ACSM and BMW don’t even look at it when they receive a complaint or even scope the sensors for voltage.

Happy it’s all sorted.

Can you share the process for doing this in ISTA I never saw it in there.

You may have to do a ride height adjustment if the VDP module also reset.

CN520, can you share this here as well? Would love to have that information.

I'm having the same issues and have had contact with BMW (not the dealerships) in order to get them to know the problem and provide a solution for everybody who has te deal with this problem but is not on the fora. My goal is to get BMW to enhance there workshop manuals so everybody is helped in the end.

can you explain what you mean by oversized sidewall of the tires? is the wheel too narrow?

I went with deeper tyre side walls by advice of BMW so instead of 30 in rear 35 and in front 40. The diff doesn’t like it at all so don’t try to do same.
