Thanks guys for the compliments! Interior shots, I'm afraid, will have to wait until spring. I just tucked it away for the four crappiest months in Michigan. She's quite content though. Heated garage, Ctek and a car cover. Oh, and three coats of Zaino!
Bymep: Here's a pic from a distance that I took in the Smokies and it does show a tad of the cognac rear seats/headrests with the red. Last edited by Rotherd31; 11-18-2019 at 01:49 PM.. |

You're not running for a few month, how about battery? Permanent plug in? I assume you got to start the car at least once a week?

That's what the Ctek is. A self regulated battery charger. No, I've never started any of my winter stored cars for the entire four months. No need to. Stabil in the tank, hook up the charger and then the car cover. Four months later, reverse the process and drive it out of the garage to greet spring! I've stored corvettes, BMW's, Cadillac's, motorcycles and on and on, the same way and never ONCE have I ever had any issues.

Ha! Nope, no thought of getting a set of snows and driving it during the winter. I will admit that it is cruel and unusual punishment to put it away after only driving it for ten days, but that's my plan. Plus, two of those four months we are down in Gulf Shores with one car, the GF's X3. So it's not that bad of a deal. Better to be here and in the garage than the 4.5 month wait for me to get my hands on it!!

Thanks!
Spring 2020 mods: Going to have the lower rear bumper cover trim panel painted gloss black to match all the other trim on the car and then finish off the rear with the gloss black Xdrive and M550i emblems from iND! Since I have a free set of Michelin SS tires from BMW, I'm leaning towards another set of wheels to mount them on. The front runner right now are the 669M in orbit gray. |

LOL ! I'll keep that in mind, but don't quit your day job! Final few mods coming up in the next week or two and I'll post pics when they are completed. Got it out from it's winter hibernation last week and was just as geeked as the day last October when I took delivery.

Well, it took me a while to make a decision on my wheels, but decided to go with the 728's, rather than get my 668's painted. Glad I did. The clincher?
Seeing them on Titan 2004's car. Love em! Two more items on my list. In two weeks my body shop is going to paint my lower rear bumper cover gloss black and a day or two after that my XPel guy is going to cover the satin rocker decal which will change it's look to gloss black. Then done.........yeah, right! And only two cars showed up at Dick and Greg's CC this morning! |

Looks fantastic! Color combo, black trim pieces, all work together so well. The rims take it to the next level I must say
Congrats on a great build and I'm sure you'll share some future tweaks a long the way! |

Finished the rear end yesterday. Dark gray to gloss black rear lower bumper cover and gloss black Ind trunk emblems! Down to one item on my to do list. X Pel over top of the rocker decals to also give them a gloss black look.
