1 owners in Toronto: Where do you get your car washed?
I must say that simply keeping the car clean has become a time and energy waster, given all the hazards of "don't do this, don't do that."
In other threads, people say don't let anyone hand wash your car, no carwashes, touchless or otherwise for differing reasons. Now before I had Bimmer, I had my car detailed in Bay Bloor's high end detailing place, and they did a great job. Now I don't know where to take it. They certainly deal with a LOT of high end cars (Yorkville after all) so I wonder how bad could it be. Anyway, wondering what downtown Toronto peeps are doing about their dirty 1 Series? The rims alone are consuming an hour a week because of brake dust. ! Thanks! C. |

There's a high end car wash and detailing center on Avenue Rd south of the 401 (the north-east corner of Avenue rd and Lawrence Ave).

With the Glide locations, do you use Touchless or ClothClean? Both seem to have their drawbacks, so it's a bit confusing for me.
I just got my 135i a bit over a week ago, and given the weather I think it's time for the first clean. |

In these crappy conditions, I just go to the touchless wash at the Lawrence & Leslie Esso. I'll look for something better when the slop is off the ground.
Oh, and the secret for brake dust is to buy grey wheels for your snow tires.

Have a look at my posting....
In addition, I found a 2 week old 'California Wash' using sponges that is really quick (4minutes) and good for a white car. And you know how dirty a white car gets. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ight=canadians

Ok, so I tried out Supreme Auto Bath on Bathurst yesterday. Overall I was pretty happy. For $27 it was well worth it to have the car vacuumed, mats hosed down, dash wiped and the car be totally washed and dried by hand. Will I go back? Maybe once a month until spring just to have the car hand washed, otherwise the Sunoco touchless wash is good enough for me.
Bottom line, I can't wait till spring so I can wash my car myself. "If you want things done right, you gotta do it yourself" |
